Tan Ser Seng Herbs was founded in 1946. In the dawn of Singapore’s burgeoning hawker scene, Tan Ser Seng (TSS) brought the unique trade of turtle soup from China, and began peddling the herbal broth in Singapore. Originally reserved for Chinese royalty, turtle soup was a dish that needed no introduction in Singapore. Highly regarded as a healthy and potent source of nutrients, Tan Ser Seng’s turtle soup drew in large crowds and established a huge fan base in no time.
