About Lucky Souvlaki by Blu Kouzina - Dempsey
Souvlaki is a Greek dish where small pieces of meat and occasionally vegetables, are grilled on a skewer. Commonly served alongside grilled pita with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and at times, even yogurt dips to refresh the palate. Seasoned with pepper and fresh herbs, these meat bites pack a punch of tantalizing flavors. Eaten straight off the skewer or wrapped in pita, it's easy to see why it's considered to be one of the national dishes of Greece.
